Once you log in to your account, Otto allows you to set up how your customers can pay you with either mobile money or card to your preferred option - mobile money or bank transfer (required for card payments)
📍 Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: 🎥 Watch a Walkthrough
Step 2: Go to Settings ➔ Payout Method
- Tap the "Settings" icon in the bottom navigation.
- Scroll down and select "Payout Method."
Step 3: Choose Your Preferred Payout Methods
You will be shown two sections:
- Mobile Money Payout
- Bank Payout (For Card Payments)
You can choose one or both payout methods depending on how you want to receive your earnings.
Tip: Enabling both payout methods allows you to receive payments from both mobile money and card transactions, giving you more flexibility and faster access to your money.
💸 Set Up Mobile Payout
Step 4: Choose a Mobile Payout Type
Select one of the options below where mobile money payouts should go:
- Bank Payout
- Mobile Wallet
- Pay Bill
- Till Number
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup.
Note: Use the number and method that matches your active mobile money account.
🏦 Set Up Bank Payout (for Card Payments)
Step 5: Tap “Bank Payout (For Card Payments)”
If you want to accept card payments, you must set up a bank account for settlement.
Step 6: Enter Your Bank Details
You only need to provide:
- Bank Name
- Bank Account Number
Then tap Save to confirm.
Note: Card payments are deposited into your bank account within 2–5 business days depending on your bank’s processing time.

All payout methods are processed securely through trusted payment partners. Your financial details are encrypted and not stored directly by Otto.
