How to edit and setup vehicle classes

Configure your car rental categories and pricing so your team can quickly assign vehicles with the right presets

ℹ️

Setting up your fleet classes in Otto is an essential first step to creating a trusted, scalable rental business. It allows you to pre-define vehicle categories (e.g. small, medium, SUV), daily pricing, KM limits, insurance excess, and discounts — so that when your team adds a car, they only need to choose the right category and everything else is automatically applied.

⚠️ Why This Matters

Without fleet class presets, each team member would have to manually enter every car’s price, coverage, driver option, and more — opening the door for inconsistent settings, pricing errors, and confusion.

Using fleet classes ensures:

  • ✅ Pricing and excess fees are applied uniformly
  • ✅ Your vehicles follow a clean structure
  • ✅ Your team can confidently add cars without guessing

📍Step 3: Review Existing Vehicle Categories

Look through the preset vehicle classes on your account.

Each class contains:

  • Daily rate
  • Discounts for longer bookings
  • Luggage/seating capacity
  • Insurance excess
  • Driver options (Self-Drive, Chauffeur)

Tip: If your fleet includes categories not listed (e.g., Premium SUVs, Minivans), create a new one.
