Otto makes it easy to reserve and pay for your rental. Here's how the process works.
📍 Step-by-Step Instructions

📍Step 2: Sign In and Navigate to Your Reservation
- Open the Otto app or website and sign in to your account.
- Tap the “My Trips” tab at the bottom of your screen.
- Select the active reservation you want to pay for and click “Show details”.
- This will take you to the trip details page where you can continue with the rental agreement and payment.

📍Step 3: Continue to Rental Agreement
After selecting your rental details and clicking “Reserve & Pay Later”, your booking will be submitted for approval.
- Once a rental partner accepts your booking, you'll see a confirmation screen with confetti 🎉
- On this screen, tap the “Continue to Rental Agreement” button to move forward.
- You’ll then upload your required documents (Driver’s License and National ID) to complete your renter profile.
✅ Tip: Upload clear and valid documents to avoid delays.

📍Step 4: Sign the Rental Agreement
Before making payment:
- Tap “View Rental Agreement” to review the terms.
- Check the ✅ box for “I agree to policies & terms of rental agreement.”
- Sign your name in the box (draw or type).
- Tap the purple “Sign” button at the bottom of the screen.

✅ You will not be able to make payment until this is complete.

📍Step 5: Choose a Payment Method
Once your rental agreement is signed, you’ll be prompted to pay using:
- MPESA (Mobile Money)
- Credit/Debit Card
💳 If you choose MPESA:
- Enter your phone number and click Pay Now.
- You’ll receive a prompt on your phone to confirm the payment.
💳 If you choose Credit/Debit Card:
- Enter your card details securely.
- Tap Pay Now to complete the transaction.

📍Step 6: Payment Confirmation
After successfully completing your payment, you’ll receive:
- A confirmation page showing your booking details
- An email receipt for your deposit payment
- You can download it and print it
✅ Tip: Keep your confirmation email handy — you'll need it when picking up your rental.
