What Happens After You Book?

What to expect after booking: confirmation emails, pickup instructions, and support contacts.

📍Step 2: Submit Required Details

After clicking “Reserve & Pay Later,” you’ll be asked to provide:

  • Your full name, ID, and contact information
  • Your intended area of use (where you plan to drive)

We can’t assign your rental partner until this step is completed.

📍Step 3: Join the WhatsApp Group

Once your information is submitted, Otto creates a dedicated WhatsApp group for your rental.

The group includes:

  • You (the renter)
  • Otto Support
  • Your assigned rental partner (added after your details are submitted)

💬 All coordination — including pickup, add-ons, and status updates — happens in this group.

Tip: Be responsive in the group to avoid any delays in getting your car.

📍Step 4: Receive and Make Payment

Your rental partner will send a secure payment link in the WhatsApp group.

  • Tap the link to open the payment page
  • Choose your preferred payment method (e.g., MPESA or Card)
  • Complete the transaction securely

📍Step 5: Payment Verification

Once your payment is completed:

  • A confirmation invoice is automatically generated in the Otto platform
  • You can view and download it directly from your booking

Tip: If you don’t see the invoice after a few minutes, refresh the page or reach out via the WhatsApp group for support.

📍Step 6: Get Pickup Instructions

With payment confirmed, your rental partner will share key details in the WhatsApp group, including:

  • Pickup location and time (or delivery options for an extra KES 1,000)
  • Contact person at pickup
  • Photos of the actual car (upon request)
  • Answers to any remaining questions about the vehicle — such as make, type, features, etc.

📍 Everything is posted in the WhatsApp group so it’s easy to reference.
